Show The French Semite. London, 25. The Paris correspondent corres-pondent of the JVwie telegraphs the following: It is asserted that information infor-mation received by various political parties giveB this as the result of the recent elections: The senate will include 22 radicals, 10 irreconcilable Bonapartists, 47 moderate Bouapart-ists, Bouapart-ists, 70 fusionists, legitimists and Orleanists, i, c, ministerialists, and 14 ultra legitimists. This estimate includes in-cludes life senators already elected, and if correct shows that the left will have 126 seats in the senate. It is reported that Buffet is engaged in rectifying mistakes in the lists of senatorial sen-atorial delegates furnished by prefects. A semi-official journal defends the government for not publishing the returns of the election on the ground that it would be obviously improper for it to attempt to classify delegates elected according to their political : opinions as reported by prefects, while the publication of a mere list of names would convey no information. |
