Show Murders ami Iyncliiugs. Cincinnati, 25. The Gazelle's Charleston, W. V'a., special says an :ilb rcation occurred between Thomas Hines and William Dooleys, regarding regard-ing the hitler's wife, to night. Hines went to Dooley's house, knocked on the dcor, and when Dooley appeared times cut him with a knife severing! the jugular vein, from which he died m about an hour afterwards.. The cases of Dawson -ami -Estep, charged with the murder of Leo several seve-ral days ago, was called in court to-Jay to-Jay at Charleston. The day was consumed con-sumed by the prisoners' counsel in arguing lor a change of venue on the ground of tho hostile feeling of tho people against tiie prisoners. The judge reserved his decision until tomorrow. to-morrow. T'ne court house yard was filled to day by excited citizens, j chiefly trom the vicinity where the j murder was committed. I Later. About 200 men arrived at I 10 p.m., and proceeded to the jail and took Dawson fnd Kslep out, and marched them ofl to the woods, where they will doubtless be fraud banging to a tree in the morning. Dooley, who was killed by Hines early this evening. was a colorcei man. After the mob bad carried off the Lee murderer, colored citizens to the number of fifty wmt to the jail and demanded Hines, who was delivered to them, and they then followed the former crowd to the woods with their prisoner, who will probably meet the-same fate. |
