Show The Western Crops. Cincinnati, 7. Crop reports from 23S points iu Ohio, Indiana, Illinois, Kentucky and Tennessee hive been received here. From them it appears that tbe season thus far has been very propitious for growing most kinds of grain, but just as harvest approaches there ia threatened a disaster dis-aster from continued rains from all points except Tennessee and Southern South-ern Kentucky. Fears of the destruction destruc-tion of a portion of tbe crops from this cause are entertained. As the crops now stand wheat promises a yield of two-tbirds; oats is less than an average; corn is an un usually large crop. |
