This paper was preaented yea-terday yea-terday with the approval of Secretary Sherman to every clerk in the treasury treas-ury department from Ohio, aud not one refused absolutely to sign it, although many did so protdt ng thfy were not able to bear the expenses ol the trip. There is general complaint anjonu the clerks that thoy are compelled com-pelled to disobey the president's orders and some threaten in call the president's presi-dent's attention to the acts of hie subordinates sub-ordinates as soon as he returns. |
