Show Theatre. The benefit for the Ladies' Centennial Centen-nial fund comes off at the theatre t iia evening, and a very fine and entertaining programme has been gotten up for the occasion. The fmt piece, "Putnam, or 100 Years Ago," is a thrilling drama ot the revolution, and abounds in startling situations and grand tableaux. An olio follow, in which several ladies and gentlemen will sing, and Mcsers. Harris and Bowring "do" t.ie funny act of "The Mulligan Gunrde." Tho very laughable laugh-able farce of "A Ghost in Spite of Himself," with Mr. P. Margetts in his inimitable part of Dickory, and the reat of tho cast in competent hands concludes the entertainment. Considering the object of the benefit and the excellence of the programme, we anticipate a crowded house. |
