The Miller mine takes out about ten tons a day, w i in large prospects iu sight, and Old Jordan Jor-dan takes out two hundred ton per month. There are also several other mines from which they arc shipping ore, besides a vast number of fine prospects which are being vigorously worked. When you get down the oFuu as far Bs Coopers, which, by the way is one of the old reliable cuUitting houses, kept by Mr. Win. Cooper, they are working the Little Mohogany, supposed to be a true fissure vein with well defined qusrtzite wall rock. Near by is the Dixon lode yielding twenty-five twenty-five tons of ore per day; alto the Winamuck which yields frum twenty-five twenty-five to thirty tons daily. The average of the Bingham ores is from $35 to $-15 per ton, but some mines average from $75 to $100 per ton. There are some placer minca which seem to give satisfaction to the owu- ' ers, who have the self-satisfied look of men who are doing well enough. The Caledonia company are running run-ning a tunnel to tip their shaft where ; they have a largo body of ore. From present indications they will need ( another railroad before loug to trans- i port their ere to market, alibough we , learn that the present road has j already a number of new ore cars to ( meet the coming demand. 47 er. Sec. 28. and all fowl, such as turkeys, ducks, geese and hens found running at large at any time between the first day of March and the first day of October, Oc-tober, ahull be forfeited to and shah be liablo to be killed by any person upon whose premises they may he j found. I Also to the following extract from Chapter XLI, relating to "Trespass, and animals running at large." Sec. 2. No cattle, horses, mules, sheep, goats or hogs shall be allowed to run at large within the limits of this city, and all such animals so found may be taken up by any person and driven to the pound, and the owner of said animals shall be liable to pay a fine in any sum not exceeding exceed-ing ten dollars for each animal.
