Show The Helena Independent interviewed inter-viewed Mr. John bhively, a gentleman about 55 yean of age who was taken prisoner by the Nex Percea in the National park and detained IS day. He said he was treated well by the Indians all the time. They traveled very leisurely, not averaging a day. They said they were not afraid of Howard, as be was a one-armed squaw. They also said that they did not intend to return to Idaho, as the agent there John Hallwas a bad man and would not give them what was due them; they would remain somewhere in the Big Horn country, and if the soldiers came they would join in with the Sioux and Crows and whip them. |
