Show New Pavement. Charles H. Basiett, Esq., of Con- 1 necticut has put down a section of ew patent pavement in front of Mr. John W. Young's office. Hie ingredients in-gredients are tar, pebbles, gravel and Band, and it makes a handsome and durable walk, clan and smooth. Mr. Bassett says it is being extensively introduced iu the east with general satisfaction. The cheapness of tho pavement, also, places it within the means to obtain of all property owners own-ers in the business part of the city. At present the sample in front of Mr. Young's office emits a disagreeable odor, but we understand that after the first season it becomes odorless. It would be a great improvement were Mr. Bassett's pavement put down generally in the central part of town. |
