Editors Tribune, As I am the only George Crain, or Crane, of the sand bill, or other species located here, I wish to correct a few statements made by your correspondent R, U. R,( jn his Btnaatioual communication dated Corn Creek, of the 6th inst. I am not a member of a "Danite" or other "muraudiug" fraternity. I have sot been iu Meadow Creek fur the last twenty-two days, consequently I took no part in the concert described by , R. G. R. I was not one of the posse Bent to Cjrn Creek, and took no part in the search of Mr. George's premises. I was there on private J business, heard and saw a part of the 1 fracas betwoon the officers and Mr. I George, and I have since heard that B gentleman express his sincere rogrct at the stand he took in tho mailer. He will doubtless be amused, but not flnttered, by the reference to his "Eoglish(?) blood," the educational difficulty, etc. Your correspondent R- G. R. is well known here as a Mormon fungus, a "little off " on more things than the "divinity of Brigham." He is Buffering with a sore head, produced by a blow from a materialized spirit at a seauce con ducted at the Lion house in your city; and in future, should lie place my name before the public, I would prefer it to be in connection with truth. I am yours, respectfully, George Crane. |
