Show Two-faced. Editors Herald: Having socn a card in tbe ulnars giving notice of the withdrawal of Wm. H. Rowe from the People's Conservative ticket, I, as chairman of the convention that nominated Mr. Rowe, wish to state to the good people of bis precinct and the community generally, that he was present at the meeting and took an active part in ail of its proceedings, putting nominations and voting for other nominees; and tried to give aid and strength to said convention, and also heard his name proposed as councilman and then and there gave a stleut consent to his nomination. I make this statement as it is evident evi-dent that Mr. Rowe's sympathy was witb in conservative mottmsnt and why ne ihou!d suddenly desert his oAiist to me u inexplicnhlf. BoLivkB Roberts. |
