Sec. 2. Sec. 3. All awnings and all Bign-posts Bign-posts or sign-boards, of any deaign or description, now standing on the aide-wa:ks, aide-wa:ks, or across the sidewalks or water ditches, or on the Btreets outside out-side the water ditches, within this city, except such awnings as have been permanently constructed accord ing to law or by permission of the City Council, or which are in accordance accord-ance with the provisions of this Ordinance, Ordi-nance, are hereby declared obstructions, obstruc-tions, aud shall be removed within aix months from the first day of June, 1878. Sec. 4. Any person violating or failing to comply with any of the provisions pro-visions of this Ordinance shall be liable to a fine of not to exceed umeiy-nino dollars, or imprisonment not to exceed thirty days, or both. Any person failing to remove any of tue obstructions named in this Ordinance Ordi-nance within the time specified therein, shall be liable to a further fine ol five dollars for each and ever day that such obstruction bo remains. Sec. 5. All Ordinances or parts of Ordinances relating to signs and awnings awn-ings in conflict with this Ordinance are herebv repealed. Passed May 21st, 1878. FERAMORZ LITTLE, Mayor. John T.
