Show South Jordan. The election in theBPveral precinot of the South Jordan irrigation district, held on Saturday, for tbe purpose of ratifying the action of the mass meet ing held a couple of weeks ago, confirming con-firming the board of trustees eleoted thereat, and voting upon the land tax of $2 per acr, tT widen and improve the South J an canal, was unanimous unani-mous in favor of the ratification, confirmation con-firmation aud tax. We have before published the names of the board of trustees, of whic General Robert T, Burton is president. Tbe mild, warm weather of the past few weeks has thawed and enabled en-abled the work to be prosecuted on this canal, which will '--e tbe meani, when completed, of placing this county ia the front rank as an agricultural dis'rict. No trouble has yet been experienced ex-perienced from the freezing of the ground, and the proapectB are cheering cheer-ing lor an early complstion of the canal. |
