Show Reef Notes. The work of rebuilding the Barbee Mill is to be commenced forthwith. From Mr. Johnson Barbee we learn that a force of men will be on the ground thia morning for the purpose of removing all debris from the mill-site, mill-site, and that as soon as the necessary neces-sary lumber can be secured, rebuilding rebuild-ing will commence. Tbe new mill, like tbe old one. is tobe of five stamps' capacity, and the machinery will be furnished by Messrs. Fraxer fc Chalmers, Chal-mers, of Chicago. Thus the good work progresses. A few short weeks, and presto, change, another five stamps are added to the milling capacity capa-city of tbe camp. The enterprise of such men as Barbee fc Van Hagen is not only a credit to themselves, but a source of gratification to the en- lire community. We understand tbat Colonel Wall has purchased tbe steam hoisting works, and appurteoances thereunto belonging, lormerly Used on Pioche No. 9 property, Pioche, aud that the same will be removed here without delay for erection on the north shaft ol the Kinoer. As to the capaciiy of these works we are not advised, but the machinery is said to be much heavier than any now in place on the Reel. Next thing thia community knowa, the colonel will be pulling up a mill. Miner. |
