Show Pleaded Insanity. From the AlU -California we learn that W. H, Bryant was arrested in San Francisco on Friday latt, charged with obtaining money under false pretenses pre-tenses from au individual named William Davis. Mr. Bryant, it will' be remembered, was in business in Silt Lake oity, in the lumber trade, aj few years ago. Tho complaint against him on the present charge alleges j that Bryant obtained a check from 1 Davis for $150 on the National Gold Bank and Trust company, ou ieprc-sentations ieprc-sentations that he was the owner of a' large lumber yard at tbe foot cf Market street, that he owned and kept three horses at South Park livery atable,. that he was wealthy, and a member of the firm of "Bryant Brothers," about to go into the banking bank-ing business. . On a plea of insanity, Bryant was suosequentiy reieaseu ) from jail and placed in the home of, ihe inebriates. , |
