Show Jack Beegan. Now it appears that Jack Beegan, whoso arrest at Los Angeles we recently re-cently announced, will not bo brought back to Utah to serve a sentence in the penitentiary here. While at Los Angeles, Beegan committed a robbery and is held by the authorities to answer ans-wer in the California courts. It is probable that ho will spend a portion of .lis life nt San Qucutin, in which case the deputy marshals in this territory will not have the pleasure pleas-ure of hearing him "painful dutied" ! to the extent of the law by Judge Mc-ICcau. Mc-ICcau. Take it all in all, Jack has flayed a fine game by committing the robbery and being hauled up in California. Had he been brought hack hero it is more than probable that his sentence would have extended extend-ed over a period equal to the balance of hia natural life, and in the golden state ho well get only a few years at the furthest. |
