Show The Capital, Washington, April 14th. The Eight Eev. Consul General Gen-eral John P. Newman, friend of man and of ex President Grant, is reported as saying in a late lectare that Mormons Mor-mons - were married in a state of nudity, and the Rev, John P. had witnesoed the ceremony. We have no question that if such indecent exhibition ex-hibition ever occurred within a hundred hun-dred miles of the Eight Rev. John P. he witnessed it, or il he did not he is failing in the energy and taste for which he is. -known at the national capital. The trouble, however, is that the Right Rev. John P. has two a tori fa mixed: He confounds an exhibition ex-hibition he witnessed in Paris with a marriage ceremony in Utah. Mixed stories are not bo good as mixed drinks, John; such as hot Scotch made of Newman whisky. |
