Show The Game. Tbe first match gamo of tho season between the Reds and Deserets took place yesterday afternoon. There was quite a large attendance notwithstanding notwith-standing the early season, aud considerable con-siderable euthueiasm waa manifested. As the opening game ol t e season, it may be considertd a very good atart but there was not a great deal cf life mauifeated in tho tmt part, though some brilliant pUya were made on either Bide. Towards the close of the game tbe playing improved greatly and bjlh olubs displayed unuiual strength. Tbe result waa a victory for tbe Dcaerete, tbe score being 8 to 12 in favor of the champions. |
