Show " The Question of Ihe Hour." At American Fork, on the 27tb ult., Mrs. C. I. Godbegave her popu lar lecture oo the "Question of tbe Hour," to a crowded hnuee of interested inter-ested libteners. The lecture was in troduced by Bis'r.op Harrington, who Btated that this lecture had been given before the Moral Educational Society in Washington. At the close of the meeting a prominent lady of tho eociety stepped forward, and placing her baud upon Mrs. Gcdbe'e i shoulder, said: "Aft-r this t us never say wo will not receive a Mormon Mor-mon woman in our tocietv," and thereupon Mrs. Godbe wa admitted as a member. Alter Mr. Harrington bad concluded Mrs. God bo arope and cave her lecture in ber usual pleading and interesting manner. A vute ot thanks was then tendered. Tue lecture was a success, a-j her former efforts havo all been. |
