The platform adopted sets forth that grievous wrongs have been perpetrated upon the people by those to whom has been delegated the power of government, especially by limiting the legal tender quality of government to national bank corporations; corpora-tions; by changing government bonis into coin bondj, payable in gold; by converting the non-interest bearing debt, thus causing Bkrinkage in values, depression in business, etc. The platform further deuouncea resumption; re-sumption; declares that publio money has been wasted in enormous land grants and exorbitant salaries; it declares that government alone must issue money in an amount to be constitutionally fixed upon a capital baBie; that jiovennient bonds must be called in and paid in full legal lender money; that national banks of issue must be abolished and greenbacks supplant their issues; that tho silver dollar be coined without limit; endorses the arrearage pension bill and bounty bill; declares that, while execrating the outroges on Union soldiers during the war in eouthern piiaon pens, violence of parlizan Bpirit iu congress should be condemned, as it seeks to revive the dead issues of the past, while conspiring against and refusing to provide measures of relief for the present, and declares in favor of the honest, uninti undated ballot and a fair count; that the salaries of public officials be reduced 25 to 50 por cent, from the President down; that the strictest economy be practiced and officials be held to Btriot account; commends all means for the suppres sion ol intemperance; approves the stand taken by the greenback representatives repre-sentatives in congress and especially endorses Weaver and Gillette in their contest with the combined opposition of both the old parties.
