Tho "International" "Inter-national" will not depend merely upon names, but upon the choice of subject, and upon tho intrinsic merit of the articles, in order to command public attention at-tention and approval. 'Iho proprietor hope to make tho Review indispocsable to every one who wishes to keep up with the. bett thought in America and Europe upon the most important subjects. A unique and attractive foaturo of tho Review is the Department of Contemporary Contem-porary Literature, "which embraces a brief, impartial, and comprehensive summary of tho literary movement in all the groat countries of Christendom. Tho movement in England, Prance, and Germany lias been carefully outlined in an instructive and entertaining manner, by correspondents residing at the European centres of literary activity. In future like special attention will bo given to the leading features of the literary movement in America. During 1S79, article rosy be expected from writers of the highest rAnk on both sides of the Atlantic. While foreign writers will bo admitted freely, American' writers will in future, as heretoforo, have the preference. All former pledges of tho Review will continue to bo observed. Tho sub-cription price will remain at $5, notwithstanding the increase in tho annual number of pages. Sirjgle numbers will contain 112 pages each, and will be sold at 50 cents.
