Show The Tax Case. The Bitting of Judge Schaefier in cbambera yesterday was occupied in a further bearing of the case of tbe Bingham CtfTijn and C.imp Floyd and Wastch and Jordan Valley railroads against Collector Crismon. A demurrer de-murrer w.is entered, it will be remembered, remem-bered, to the hill of tho plaintiffs, and after argument t;iat demurrer was sustained. Leave wivs thengiiento file an amended bill, which was done, and the caso yesterday camo up for hearing on the order for defendant to show cu?e why an injunction should not idsue restraining tbe collector from seizing the property for dihn-queut dihn-queut taxes. Testimony was introduced, intro-duced, and a rather lengthy argument ensued on the objection of the plaiu-tifl'i plaiu-tifl'i to the introduction, as testimony, of an abstract which, however, was admitted with other testimony of a similar character subject to l'ie d me objection, which will bo decided upon hereafter. The c;e was not concluded list eveaing. An adjournment adjourn-ment of the esse wjs taken until next Friday afternoon, when it will ba resumed re-sumed and doubtless bs continued until a deciiiou is re.icb.ed. |
