Show The Fire Kecortl. Hflgerston, MdM 29. The' fire which cnusumed the Washington House, this morning, caused the death of Thomas Troxwell and F. B. Snevely. Nine others are more or U.B3 eeriouely injured. Every room in the hotel was occupied, principally by attorneys and witnesses attending court. Loss, $50,000; inourance $26,-000. $26,-000. Detroit, 29. A fire at Chase, Mich., this afternoou destroyed a saw and shingle mill owned by O. W. Joiner, together with over 1,000,000 feet of lumber, and a large umount of ehinglea and logo. One store, two dwellings and tho postoffice were aleo burned. Lees, $20,0110; insurance, $1,500. Detroit, 30. Forest fireB arcrnging in the vicinity of Harrisville. This afternoon, the fire caught in the roll ways of R. A. Aer & Co., containing some 10,000,000 feet of pine lous, and will probably dtBlroy about S.000.000 feet. |
