Show Police Court. A Mrs Wilson was arrested and fined f5 for beiog drunk and disturbing disturb-ing the peace. Mrs. Davis was also arrested and fined $5 for druukenaess and breaking windows. I A hearing on the charge of assault and battery preferred against S. A. j Wool ley and son by Wm. Harrison took place yesterday. The testimony went to prove that Harrison was in the habit of calling Woolley "names" as he passed the former gentleman, and that on Tuesday morning he resumed the practice, intimating that Woolley was a thief, when words arose between the parties. Harrison is said to have dropped his dinner bucket and started for Mr. Woolley in a threatening manner when tbe latter gentleman's son interfered, a scuille ensued and the result was that Mr. Harrion got a cut on the forehead by a blow from the young man. The charge not being proven the case was dismissed. |
