Show Theatre. There was a good house at the Theatre last night and the performance perform-ance passed off most satisfactorily. We have recently noticed the playing in "Under the Gaslight" and "Jenny Lind at Last," it is therefore only necessary to say that last night's performance per-formance was fully equal to any previous' pre-vious' representation. On Monday evening the popular actress Miss Jean Clora Walters will make her first appearance this season in two of her specialties. Miss Walters is a lady of more than ordinary ability in her profession, playing a wide range of characters, giving evidence of the possession of a degree of versatility rarely combined in a single artiste. The lady is a great favorite in our city, and we expect to see her many friends present on Monday evening to extend to her a cordial welcome hack. : The bill for the evening is a strong ' and deversified one the "French Spy," and the "Object of Interest," Miss Walters appearing in the first in the triple oharactcrs of M.tthiklo, Henri St. Alme, and JLaniet, supported sup-ported by Messrs. Sawtclle, Thome, Forster, Archer, Croshie, Vinson, Ilea, Cogill, Taylor and HorseljMiss Xap-por, Xap-por, and Mrs. Crosbio. During the drama Miss Walters and Mr. Thorhe will fight a terrific broadsword combat. com-bat. In tlie after piece Miss Walters ippears as Fanny Gribbles, supported by Misses Adams ai:d Xapper, and Messrs. Crosbie, Wilton, Forster and Archer. This bill presents strong attractions at-tractions and should draw a crowded house. |
