Show Carlist Movements. Madrid, 16. The Carlist force mentioned men-tioned on the 10th iust., as having passed through Berga, with the expectation ex-pectation of surprising the Alfonsista engaged in the seige of Seo de Urgel, approached to within three leagues of the beseiged town, but the movements move-ments of the royal army neceesitated their retreat to the mountains. The Carlist committee commit-tee here report that they have received re-ceived official advices from the commander com-mander of the troopB defending Seo de Urgel, to the eflect that the At tons- ' iets have captured none of his positions, posi-tions, and have lost 1,500 men during tho seige. Tho citadel and fort are intact. The garrison has forty-five guns, and is well supplied with ammunition am-munition and provisions. One of the Alfonsist batteries has been silenced, and the besieged have mado several sorties with success. |
