Show Requires Attention. We understand certain parties have put two fish traps across one of the mountain streams south of this city, thus preventing the fish from running up or down the stream. The gentlemen gentle-men owning those traps certainly can not be aware they are liable for prosecution prose-cution vnd ;r two sections of the game law. The matter of seeing tho law enforced on this subject is in tbe hands of the county courts. We publish below be-low the sections of the law applicable to the present case: Sec. 4. No permission shall be given giv-en to place dams in any streams in a manner that will obstruct tbo free navigation offish to and from their spawning grounds, unless the parties constructing said dams shall provide ft good and sufficient li.sh-wav to the ac ceptance of the Selectmen of the County, except upon such streams as are not generally occupied by lako or brook trout for spawning purposes. Sec. G. All persons .ire nrohibiled from taking lake or bro dc trout by seines or traps from the first day of April until the la-t day of June in each year. |
