Show Social Farewell Greeting. The Townsend House last night was the scene of social gayety and mirth, the occasion being a complimentary compli-mentary impromptu hop and supper given by a few special friends of Mrs. Craft, and her son Mr. Harry Craft, recently of Philadelphia. About fifty couples, chiefly guests of the house, were present, and in the lively dance and giddy waltz, did pleasant honor to the fair lady and her estimable son. who have won so many warm friends during their brief sojourn at the Queen City of the Rocky Mountain region. The guests enjoyed themselves them-selves until long in the night, no matter which hour it was, and the success of the entertainment amply compensated the getters up for their efiorta to taVe an elegant and aflec-tionate aflec-tionate farewell of Mrs. C. and her son who are on the eve of departing for their intended future home in the flowery vales of Southern California. |
