Show Purim. To-day is observed by the Israelites in all parts of the world as a feast day, in commemoration of tho deli v-anco v-anco of the children of Israel from the oppression and machinations ol Hainan, who was hanged by order ol King Ahasuerus on the scaffold he (Hainan) had built for the purpose of hanging Mordecai, the jew, thereon. The feast is called jmritn, and will be generally celebrated in this city by the Hebrews, and this evening the Ladies Hebrew Benevolent Society will give a grand ball at Hussey's Hall. Yesterday Yes-terday was generally observed as an occasion of fasting and prayer by the orthodox jews on various parte of the globe, in commemoration of the same ftvnnt: hut hrfl in Utah, thern beintr no synagogue or place of worship, that part of the cemnonies was not observed. ob-served. By the by there is a large number of wealthy Israelites in Utah, and yetthey have not a single public place wherein to celebrate the rites of their faith.
