Show More Benders. Benders in these parts arc becoming numerous. The she-devil Katie, or some other female answering the' description of that notable, is in custody cus-tody in Morgan County, and will have to prove that she is not tho daughter of the old man recently removed re-moved to Kansas, or sho will be removed re-moved to the same State lor trial. On Wednesday a gentleman, living in Davis County, met a strange-look ing Dutchman on the railroad track, about ten miles north of the city. A conversation ensued, during which the stranger stated that he was from this city and was on his way to Farmim;ton. Yesterday the same Dutchman appeared at Farmmgton, and when questioned said he was from Montana and was guing to Salt Lake City. In these times of Bender Bend-er discuveries overy rough-looking strange Dutchman is scanned with scrutinizing' eyes, and such was the! suspicious examination to which the one of yesterday was subjected. Ho answered very well to the published description of young John Bender, in fact, so nearly did he resemble that youthful murderer, that the sheriff felt justified in arresting him. Captain Burt was informed of the circumstance, and he immediately telegraphed to the officer having the accused person in charge, instructing him to bring the prisoner to this city. Both tho supposed John and Katie will doubtless nrrrivc at the city jail to-day. It will be remarkable if "two of a kind" are not found ere long |
