Show Runaway. A runaway on Third South street, in the eastern part of tbe city, yesterday, yester-day, came near being attended with serious results. A man named Jones, a Little Cottonwood ore hauler, being rnsiderahy under the influence of "'liquid pizen," was "putting on style" with a span of fine horses, when ascertaining the driver was incapable in-capable of managing them, they started start-ed out for a runaway, in which they were successful. Jones was thrown trom the wagon and oneof the wheels grazed his head, inflicting a painful though not serious injury. The horses were stopped near East Temple .street. The deep snow prevented the runaways from making much of a wreck of the wagon, still they managed man-aged to Sjioil it for present use. |
