Show Theatre. Last night MissJenn ClamWultera, having rocovered from her late severe indisposition, reappeared on tbe 'boards aud enacted Marguritc ol Burgundy, Bur-gundy, in the druma of that name, which she rendered very effectively. Tlio othcr'parts were also well sustained sus-tained and the piece passed off to the satisfaction of the audience. Mr. Oioabie's new burlesque of "Our Cousin Hamlet," was repeated and went swimmingly, although the hero was most too hoarae to sing effectively. This pieco will bear repeating re-peating often. To-morrow being Eaistcr Monday, a fine holiday bill his been prepared for the evening's entertainment, consisting con-sisting of the sparkling comedy of "Married Life'' and the screaming ; farce of "The Foo! of the Family." ! These pieces nrc strongly cast. Miss Walters and Miss Adams having rc-, rc-, covered Irora their late indisposition ! will re-appear; and Mrs. Belle Doug-lias, Doug-lias, iv lady who played here come 'years ago when Julia Dean was the star nt our theatre, will commence an engagement as a member of tho com-Ipany com-Ipany on Monday night. In the comedy Mr. Crosbie and Miss Walters appear as Mr. and Mrs. Henry Dove; Mr. Vinson and Mrs. Belle Douglas as Mr. and Mrs. Samuel Sam-uel Coddle; Mr. Sawtelle and Miss Adams' as Mr. and Mn3.Youngh.ua-band; Mn3.Youngh.ua-band; Mr. Forstor and Miss Cogswell Cogs-well as Mr. and Mrs. Lynx, and Mr. and Mrs. Frank .Rea, as Mr. and Mrs. Dismal. This is a most effective cast, and the comedy cannot fail of being well played. In the farce Mrs. Belle Douglas appears ap-pears as Bella Saunders, the "Fool of the Family," and Mr. Crosbie as Zcb, while Mr. Thorne, Mr. Wilton and Mrs. Crosbie sustain the other characters char-acters This is an. unusually attractive bill, and now that the weather is pleasant and the Lenten period past, we expect ex-pect to see a crowded houao at the theatre on Monday night. |
