Show By W. U. Teloaraph. THE FAIR CASK, Chicago, 1. The verdict in the Fair case is received here with general surprize sur-prize and indignation, The "Tribune" comments on the case from the suppositious suppo-sitious stand point that the plea of insanity was used to secure an acquital. The "Times" says it is a strong statement state-ment that nothing more infamous and deplorable than this result has been achieved by an American jury for many years, but the circumstances warrant the expression. It would certainly cer-tainly be an interesting subject of in-1 in-1 quiry, what could be the mental and moral constitution of the twelve men who agreed upon this verdict, and the motives or ratiocination by whioh they were led to it |
