Show Theatre. There was a vary good houw la-it night to see "Buffalo Bill" for the last time, and '" heahontas," both pieces beiti well presented and p'ayed. "Macbeth, with all Locke's original mu-ic." is always an attraction strong enough to 611 a theatre where there is ao intellectual appreciation of the grand and sublime in poetry and the thrillingly beautiful maaic; if the music is in good hands, and the leading characters of the tragedy are cast to ability and talent. This is the announcement an-nouncement for to-morrow night, and tho requisites named are complied with. Mr. Chaplin will play Macbeth, Miss Walters will play Lady Macbeth, and will make ono of the best that has ever appealed on tho boards here, for in physique, voice, pathos and power the Ls admirably adapted for the character. Mr. McKenz'ie is announced an-nounced to appear as Macduff. The principal solos in the musical part will bo rendered by Mrs. Thomas and Mr. Teasdale ; the tabernacle choir and other musical talent will assist ; and there will be a full distribution of parts io the tragedy. It is Mr. Chaplin's last appearance, too; and if there be not a crowded house we shall be disappointed. |
