Show Theatre. A good house latt night greeted the first appearance of Mr, James J. Bardett, and the fir- representation re-presentation here of the teLiational drama of "Magdalen." Our epice this mornio; will Dot permit as to , speak at any length of the play or player. The piece ie a good one and : has some very fine and thrilling sensational effects. Mr. Bartlett is a rather pleasing, quiet actor of the English school. He had but little to do in "Magdalen" but did that little acceptably. The support was good. "Magdalen" will ,be repeated tonight. to-night. It should draw good houses during its run. |
