Show "Fatb." This drama will be given to-night for the last time. In plot, execution, characterization, dramatio situation and sensational effects it is certainly one of the most powerful and effectivo of tho modern school of dramas; whilo the style in which it is performed hero would do credit to a metropolitan theatre. The "street performance" by Mr. Graham is alone worth the money,--burlesquing, as it does, so quaintly yet so humorously, the old-time showman of every country town and villago in Britain. "Hot Frost" is an excellent little bit of character, in which Fos'er appears to advantage; while the villainy of Thorce and Dudley, ac Uriah and the baronet, is of the most approved kind and admirably ad-mirably renderod. Mr. Bates does some powerful acting in the pieee, and Misa Walters is tenderly, touchingly pathetic; whilo the petite figure and winning wayB of Miss Kent lend a charm to a role which in places is very affecting. - The situations, we repeat, arc strong and exceedingly effective; ef-fective; and in (he presentation of the piece a real treat is afforded. The zither solo will bo again given to-night, and Miss McQill will execute the Scotch dacOG. Don't forget that this Is the Uii night of "Fate." |
