There has been no one who visited Floral Hail' during the past week that has not spent a fow moments examining the Victor Sewing Machines, tifteen of which were on exhibition, occupying the first space on tho right band sido of the main building, and admiring the beauty of its construction and the excellency excel-lency of its work. . These machine?, every ono of them, are built on the most scientific principles prin-ciples and every possible improvement that ingenuity could invent has bcon tuken advantage of in their construction, construc-tion, until, correctly speaking, tbey are the beet and finest machines now ottered to tho public. Yesterday was tho awarding day by the committee appointed to examioo tho machines on exhibition. There were competing for the premium 'the Domestic, Domes-tic, Grover & Jiaker, "Weed, Triune, ilowe, and several other popular machine?, ma-chine?, but aftar the committee hud made a thorough and complete examination, exami-nation, both of the machines and their work, they awarded THE FIRST l'RIMIDM To the Victor Sewing Machine Com-pauy, Com-pauy, for the finest display of machines on exhibition. This, another high appreciation ap-preciation of these most popular machines, ma-chines, is what they eminently deserved, and what the public are willing to ac cord. The display of sample vrorlt done on this machine, as seen at the Exposition, is the finest we have ever seen, including includ-ing every style of sewing, hemming, tucking, quilting, etc. etc., and in fact evorytning that the most accomplished seamstress is capable of doing with a noedlo, and that too with a facility and beauty truly wonderful and greatly to be admired. Although tho Victor sowing machine is known and used in almost every clime where civilization has found a habitudo, and has reached a sale beyond that of any other, we prophesy for it yet greater success, and believe the time is not far ditant when every family will deem it as essential as the bread thoy oat. We heartily endorse and recommend it to the use of every family as superior to any othor machine now used. The most astonishing thing in rogard to tho Victor is, that it is acomparativoly new machine, and whon it is considered that older machines and more so-caltod celebrated machines were represented in this cob test, their victory is the more complete. The Grovor & Baker machine was awarded the ribbon for ladies, furnishing furnish-ing goods worked on a machine, and wo nover saw more oxquisilo work than that to which this distinguishing mark of merit was attached, executed by tho delicate hands of the young lady who presides over the Grovor & Baker. The Messrs. Grover & Batter, as well as Mr. Forglotheir efficient asont here, should fool proud in the posossion of such an acquisition to their stall', for tho taste and skill she displays does much to illustrate the capacity of this wonderworking wonder-working machine.
