Show U. P. R. R. On Tuesday we had a very pleasant call ftom James Campbell, Esq., late division superintendent superin-tendent of the C. P. R. R, at Ogden, who had returned from a trip over the ' Union Pacific R. R. to and from Omaha, He speaks in the highest terms of the oondition of the road and tho means adopted to prevent snow blockades, and thinks it almost impossible impos-sible that a bloekade can occur this winter. Our agent, Mr. Sleater, who has also recently passed over the road, expresses his astonishment at the extent ex-tent and completeness of the means which the oompaDy has adopted to insure in-sure regular travel and avoid detentions during the winter season; so that we look for as regular schedule time (,1m season as aa made two winters ago, before the exceptional storms of a year ago destroyed all ordinary calculations. |
