Show Ben. Wkioiit Aoain Commissioner Commis-sioner Mkacuam. A correspondent of the Sacramento Uoion, T. T. Ca-baniss, Ca-baniss, A. A. Surgeon U. S. A., under un-der date of April 24th, writes from Jack's camp as follows ; "I saw a note in tho Union a few days since, signed J. S. McComb, in which he denies that Ben. Wright was engaged in killing the Modocs m 1852. The laot that Wright did this is as well known in this county (Siskiyou) as we know that Lee surrendered to Grant. There is now in company E, fourth artillery, ar-tillery, colonel Miller commanding, a man who belonged to the first dragoons, dra-goons, colonel Fitzgerald, who was in (his neighborhood at the time, and he refers you to the files of tbo Union of November, 1S32, for tho circumstances connected with the a flair. Schooihia, who shot Meaoham, and who was himself killed by a man of G troop of cavalry on the day of the tight with (ho Modocs, was present at the time Wright shot to many of the ludians. Jouner of this county were among Wright's men.
