It was this chipping in on the part ! of the mother that long since created unpleasant feelings between the two families, the wife's brother taking the part of that abused lady and her mother. Many have been the quarrels between the parties, and :is many times has the mother-in-law I come oil" triumphant. Last evening another quarrel occurred, oc-curred, and weapons, murderous and sharp, were freely brandished. And yet the feud was not settled, nor does peace dwell in their hearts. The. husband and brother were arrested, and each narrated lengthy and flaming flam-ing stories of tho many threats of violence and personal abuse to which he had been subjected by the other. The only damage done Inst evening was to the husband his and young son, each of whom received a blow with an axe. Their injuries are not serious, seri-ous, but arc directly attributed to many ing- a woman who has a mother mo-ther and a brother. |
