Show I. A, A M. Society. The board met last evening, Mr. Rockwood in the chair. Secretary Campbell read a communication com-munication on the most advisable mode of forwarding fruit for the Fair, which communication was ordered or-dered published in tho nevspahoie. Mr.' Musser reported" that he had conferred with the superintendents of the V. C. and V. S. railroads, and that articles for the exhibition would be carried over those roads free. Also Al-so that return tickets would ho i-sucd by the companies, which would be good from ' the 2nd to the Sth of October. Oc-tober. A letter from O. F. Davis, land commissioner of the U. P. R. R., to Dr. George B. Graff, was read, soliciting solicit-ing contributions of grains, fin its, etc. from Utah, for the Chicago Exposition.' Exposi-tion.' Messrs. Crock well, Paek, Fen-ton Fen-ton and Campbell, were appointixl a committee to collect specimens fir that purpose. Mr. Nay lor reported that 'he had made arrangements for seeuring tents for the Fair, c:isrs. ReiVieaud Dinwcuduy were appointed a committee tp secure music on the occasion of the Fail-. President Woodruif was .requested to deliver an address at the opening of the Fair. It was aU decided to ask Gen. E. M. Barnuin to deliver an address on agriculture. - |
