Show Xc Front. Work has born commcuccd on the outside of the theatre, preparatory to having the new front put in. From an inspection of the drawings by Mr. Johnston, who prepared the plans for the improvements, the new front will be a handsome one. In hiding from outside view the present columns, it will run up gracefully the Jiight of4 the portico, with a platform ouL-idc extending about as far as the old steps e-Jtmc- out, and the steps will then descend de-scend to the street. Mr. Itomnry : is rushing all the work, and the improvements im-provements internally are making rapid progress. |
