Show The Aldine. The Match number of this most excellent monthly is more finely illustrated even than that for February. Tho first full page engraving represents the quiet "After the storm" with the round moon smiling upon tho poaccful waters, the wreck and clouds alone reminding of the dread tumult that so lately reigned supreme. The second illustrates that most beautiful poem of Browning's, "How they brought tho good news from Ghent to Aix;"ithe third, "The white birches of the Saranao," copied from the painting paint-ing by Hows, is perhaps the most artiatio ongraving in the present number, num-ber, while the smaller illustrations with the poetry and prose aro all good, "Interludes," by Mrs. Stoddard, being especially eo. Subscriptions for the Aldino aro received at tho news rooms aod at tho Herald offico, for the present. |
