Show Another Mineral Discovery. We have before us a piece of mineral, min-eral, weighing probably fourteen or fifteen pounds, taken from the north fork of City Creek Canon, alout half a mile north of the old saw mill, and from the first right-hand ravine. The ore is palpably float, bearing a very large per cent, of !ead, some iron, apparently a little antimony, and in all probability some silver and gold. The claim is located in tl ic n;i i nes of Ilea mer, Chamberlain it Co., and shows over two feet wide of solid mineral on the surface. It is named the New Jersey, and the district, which was organised a length of time ago, is the Warm Springs Mining District. The New Jersey is four to live hundred feet from the iron discovery reported some days ago. Prospecting is being oxtensivcly prosecutal all through the mountains ii that region ; and on towards Davis County; rumor reporting varying rc suits. |
