Show Sensible Talk. The Piochc Itccurtl, of a late italic, has the following. It is no wonder that the Mormons who come into this camp have an exaggerated ex-aggerated idea of the vices of Gentiles. Last Saturday evening a Mormon was engaged in selling fruit from his wagon, which stood in Meadow Valley Val-ley street, near Main. A crowd of roughs being near by, a number of them began to pilfer from the wagon. The man remonstrated, but to" no cllect, and was finally obliged, we are told, to drive olfa short distance, and once having got clear of the crowd, to defend his property with a club. Xo one approached him after that. Of course, "it was all for fun," but people peo-ple should consider, if they have any consideration, that stealing from a man and insulting him are not generally gen-erally classified as fun. and if thev havc no consideration the law should" act the part of their conscience and prevent them from such actions. The scene spoken of was certainly a disgrace dis-grace to thy city. |
