Show (iruiitl Scenery. Mr. Savage hands us a series of views of the great Colorado canons, mostly taken by Mr. James Fenni-more, Fenni-more, of this city, while he was with j the Powell exploring expedition. It is so much more pleasant to set in an easy chair, and hy the aid of these views and a stereoscope glide smoothly smooth-ly down the great and mysterious river, than to endure the fatigues, hardships and dangers of tlie actual trip, that we prefer the former lo the latter; while the ma-t delicate, without with-out toil or trouble, can sec the beauties beau-ties and sublimities of nature revealed in a volume of endle.-s landscapes of infinite grandeur. There are also views of Glen Canon and Kanab Canon, and other points uf more than ordinary interest in that southern region. |
