Show The Flagstaff. AVe learn that the. striking miners of this mine were paid up last Wednesday, Wed-nesday, and that they wore ollered time cheeks to be paid on the 6th of November, the next regular pay day. The sherifi has now been "placed in charge of the mine to protect the interests in-terests of the company. The following notice has been postal up at the mine: NOTICE. Owing to the financial 'disasters which have lately fallen upon the country, this company has made considerable con-siderable sacrifice in onler to meet last month's wages, which was effected on Wednesday last, and further arrangements ar-rangements will shortly be made to liquidate tlie indebtedness of the mine for the current month, before the regular reg-ular pay day. In the meantime-incisures will be taken for the protection of tho miners' interests and the properly prop-erly of the company. X. M. Maxwell, Supt. From our special correspondent at Alta, we have the following telegram: Alta City, Oct. 27. Deputy Sheriff Martin Florida was put in possession of tho Flagstaff mino to-day by X. M. Ma-twell, to prevent disturbance. There is.no suit or attachment against the mine, reports to the contrary notwithstanding. notwithstand-ing.
