Show Theatre. Last night the performance perform-ance was pleasing and amusing, and gave evident satisfaction to the audience. audi-ence. This evening Mr. Mai ben takes his benefit and presents a most attractive programme. One leading feature will bo the production, for the first time in five years, of the romantic fairy drama, "The Mountain Sylph," with a full oast and tho children's ballet. "The Widow's Victim" will open tho' performance, per-formance, Mr. P. Margotts appearing in hid characterization of Jerry Clip, with imitations of celebrated actors ; Miss Walters as Jane Chattcrly, with imitations; Mr. Maiben as Byron Tro maine, Miss Kent, Miss Simons and Mr. Forster completing the cast. Between Be-tween the pieces, tn an olio perform anoo, Mi;8 M. Richard, "la Petite Marietta Jacobs," and Mr, Maiben will sing; Messrs. Miller and Mitchell will giro a guitar and banjo duett; Miss Park will sing a ballad; Master Wcihe, the celebrated boy violinist, will exe-outo exe-outo a violin solo ; the Perry Brothere will appear in song and dances; Signor Bruno will introduoe his Dutch specialties; special-ties; Mr. 11. Mounson will execute a trombone solo; and captain John Martin Mar-tin and Mr. 3. P. Riahards will exorcise exor-cise with the foils. This makes variety and talont enough to satisfy tho most oxaoting, and wo look for a crowded house. To-morrow there will bo a matinee ; and on Monday night Mrs, Bird takes her benefit. |
