Prof, Griffith's lecture at the Institute Insti-tute was well attended last evening, by an attentive audience, who appcar-td appcar-td to highly appreciate the marked . ability displayed by the gentleman in j the rendition of the various sel ctions ; given. Especially in the "Merry J Wives of Windsor," and the "Stutter-. "Stutter-. ing Couple at the Ball," did he give . an exhibition of the trained vocalist ' and elocutionist. The ground work of ' the Professor's efforts appears to be to instruct as well as entertain, and he , certainly shows remarkable and complete com-plete control of voice and feature, mingling pathos and humor with sound advice and excellent moral instruction. in-struction.
