Mr. Longmaid, a gentleman thoroughly skilled in dressing ores, and who has had large experience in England and France, and lately as tho malinger of extensive works qu a mine in Hungary, has just arrived from England to superintend the erection erec-tion of jiggers and machinery for dieting ihe vast quantities of ore already al-ready in sight in the Utah Silver Mine. Wo understand that with 2,000 tons of ore on tho dump, and many thousands of tons in sight, it has been decided by the manager, Mr. L C. Baieman, to suspend min-1 ing operations for the present, and to devote the whole attention of the staff to the speedy erection of the necessary machinery. We hear that Mr. Long-maid Long-maid has expressed himself highly pleased with the condition of the mine a.- left by Mr. W. II. Bodda, who leaves to take charge of large works in California.
