Allen, of St. Louis, in the chair, a deputation from the brotherhood of lucomotivo engineors was reoeivod. Charles Wilson, of Cleveland, their spokesman, said the brotherhood was not a scoret society, and that its members were required to promote the interests of employers and were subjeot to expulsion for drunkenness drunken-ness or other niii-oonduot. They will never sustain a strike on any line except ex-cept for what all men will pronounce a fair oauso. Ho also explained that the organization was not responsible foi tho troublo at Louisville and St. Charier. |
